How to make Rice And Peas

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onions and green pepper for 5 minutes.
  • Add the gungo peas, coconut milk and rice. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 30 minutes or so, until the rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with liberal amounts of hot Jamaican sauce.
